Welcome to our Golf Program

Hello fellow golfer, welcome to the latitude Men’s Golf Group at Bluffton Golf Club formerly Eagles Pointe Golf Course.

Our Men’s group plays Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Our start time is 8:30 or 9:00 AM depending on the season.

Read over this welcome letter. Non-members of the course pay our guest rate of $45-$55 per round (based on season) and this includes the cart, range and green fees, does not include taxes and credit card fees. We have a $5 event fee per round. This event fee is used for admin fee, cart guy, prize money. Everyone must pay for this and participate. This rate is a negotiated rate and good only during league play.

Don’t get scared off as this looks too serious. We are well organized; we play to have a good time and play in a friendly atmosphere. Golf is only part of our league, the get-together after golf is equally important, comradery is key.

 

Ways to Pay:

  • Pay as you Play Rate (Non-Member) currently $45-$55 per round (tax and cc fee not included) this rate is subject to change throughout the year.
  • Membership paid in full and month to month MUST remain in effect for a minimum of six months. Players can then cancel with a 60-day written notice. Terminating early, all discounts, USGA Fee, SMGA Fee must be PAID back to Eagles Pointe.
  • Full Paid membership receives a 5% discount
  • Annual one-time membership fee is $3202.26 includes tax not Credit Card
  • Month To Month Payment plan, you will be charged for two months initially. Similar to rent, 1st and last month.
  • Monthly membership is $271.60 including tax not Credit Card. This is auto-pay monthly program.
  • Membership includes USGA Fee and reimbursement of SMGA Fee (must play a minimum of 3 rounds and submit proof of membership payment and round receipts to Eagles Pointe)

General Information.

 You will have a good time, a couple of items for you. Eagles Pointe has been our Golf Home since 2024. In October of 2026 the course is changing their name to The Bluffton Golf Club. We have Shotgun starts Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (based on season) . You decide when you wish to play or not, no requirement. We use our WEB-SITE to communicate with everyone, always check it for updates!!

  • Our League Plays Monday, Wednesday, Friday  - Shotgun Start on Monday and Wednesday, Friday is based on season. Normally 8:30 AM start

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday Morning Email is sent out to register for NEXT WEEKS PLAY
  • Registration Ends at 1pm on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday
  • Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday Morning you will receive a CONFIRMATION email that you are signed up to play the next day
  • Cancellation of play should be done prior to 1pm the day before the day we play
  • Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday afternoon after 3pm a Tee Sheet is emailed for the next day
  • We have a $5 game fee everyone must participate, this pays winnings, CTP, Cart Guys, and other expenses
  • We have a maximum of 44 players per round.
  • CANCELLATION  you can cancel ANYTIME but you need to do it online, send an email, or call the clubhouse.  We allow ONLY 3 No-Show and then you are placed on the reserve list to play for future rounds.
  • Pay-Day is typically the 1st Monday of the month
  • Everyone must have a USGA ID (GHIN) you can purchase this at the Pro-Shop OR it is included with a membership purchase.
  • To play in our league you must register.  Click the Button at the bottom of this page  to join the league, fill out the form. Once we receive your information we will register you and you will start to get invitations.
  • We have a Hole-In-One contest, cost is $5 and winner is paid out 80% of the pott. Contest runs until someone scores a Hole-In-One
  • We have a Birdie Bingo contest, cost is $5 and winner is paid out 80% of the pott. Contest runs until someone scores 5 net birdies over a set of defined holes. Contest runs until a player records the 5 birdies.
  • We have a gross SKINS game each round, cost is $5, paid out at the end of the round. 
  • We have 2 annual golf trips one in the Spring and one in the Fall.  Trips are within 3 hours and normally 2 nights 3 rounds, under $500 if possible
  • This is NOT THE MARGARITAVILLE GOLF CLUB that is a seperate organization, plays one day per month, coed, normally scramble format look on the LMHH calendar for more information.

 

Bluffton Golf Club and Crescent are certified courses with the SMGA – Senior Men’s Golf Association. To join you must be a member of an SMGA certified course, age 50 and over, and have a handicap of 24.0 or less. The cost is $85 per year. SMGA events are held on Monday throughout the year on premier course around the Hilton Head area.

Frequently asked questions

It all began with a group of players wanting to play golf in a coordinated manner and a consistent program We have 192 golfers on our list and currently 54 full time course members. We average 32-40 players per round (event).  We are a year round program.  We Play Monday, Wednesday, Friday.  Play when you want.

Frequently asked questions below :

Are there annual league dues or fees?

NO.  Our league has a $5 event fee used for prize funding. Everyone must pay and participate.

Do I have to play ?

NO.  Our system Golf Genius sends out an invitation one week prior to playing. You pick and choose to play or not. 

How do I know When I am playing?

Our System sends out a reminder notice the day before our golf day. Then in the afternoon after 3 pm a tee sheet is emailed with your playing partners names and starting hole location

USGA - Handicap

We require all players to purchase a USGA ID. You can buy this at the pro-shop. The cost varies and currently I believe it is around $28 per year.   If you join as a full member the USGA ID is included in your membership

Our system will post scores to the USGA after our rounds. 

Must I preregister to play Golf?

Yes. We send out invitations one week prior to the event day. On Monday we send out an invite for next Monday, Wednesday and Friday the same.  Players click Playing or Not Playing

As a Member, how many guests can I bring at the guest rate at one time?

Maximum 3 guests at any one time.  Guest must play in a group with a member.

Why so strict on Cancellation Notification.

We have all been there.  It is irritating to be waiting around for someone that is not showing up. We send out enough notice and a tee sheet, no excuse to not know you are signed up.  No-Show causes problems especially if that player is in a group of three. It's just courteous to take a minute to let someone know so we can reorganize. Issues happen we all have been there,  we need everyone to cooperate with us on this.

How do I sign up for Skins game and for the Hole In One Challenge?

Skins game is a game played each event. The cost is $5 to enter. There is someone at each event collecting for the game. Payout normally occurs after the round except on Fridays. Payout is placed in the monthly envelope.

Hole in One Challenge. The cost is $5 to enter. It continues to run until someone scores a hole in one.  This is not only Par 3's, a Par 4 counts as well. We payout 100% , and the ace must occur during league play

 

What Tee should I play from?

Here in SC we are below sea level. The ball does not fly as far as up North. One way you can look at this is, If I cannot reach within 160 yards of the hole on a Par 4 from the tee: I should move up a Tee box. You can always change by letting us know before the round.

What Tee boxes are available?

We have Blue, White, White/Green (hybrid), Green, Red.

Most players are playing Green. We encourage new players starting out to play from Men's Red.  Anyone age 80 and over can choose to play.

We encourage everyone to play to enjoy the game. Play within your limits and enjoy the game. Play where you are most cofortable.

Is League Play Year Round ?

Yes. 

Can I suspend my membership?

You must have some medical issue or procedure. You must submit info to the business accounting department at Crescent Pointe for approval

What if I don't like playing with certain players?

Sorry, suck it up!!  It's golf,  just play your game, you don't have to ride in a cart with someone you do not like,  we prefer you do, but there are personality issues  from time to time.  I prefer you speak to me, we will all sit down and see if we can come to some sort of agreement.
